Wyrd games part 2: 44 ways to babylon

Everything old is new again. As I wrote in the first 2 posts of this blog, there is much to be gained by analyzing the deep, archetypal structure that shows itself through our language (letters and words), and the mythological narratives that form the foundational elements our our culture.
(below are links to those early posts)
Cypher: Bones and Branches of the earliest forms of human communication
Wyrd Games part 1: the huath rune

In the modern world, people often forget how much our modern mass media is an accretion that builds upon layer after layer of cultural detritus; often dozens or hundreds of modern stories in our films, comic books, and literature all derive from a single ancient source. A contention that I have alluded to in past posts is that Christianity, Judaism, Islam, and much of Egyptian mythology have analogs or derive from sources in the religion and mythos of Sumeria and Babylonia (perhaps even earlier). Links to those earlier posts are here:
Occult Theocracy pt 1: the link between religion and psychological warfare in the cult of Cybele
Occult Theocracy pt 2: the enshrinement of "American" Icons from Babylon, Egypt & Rome

As any student of human psychology is aware, there are powerful archetypes at work in the human unconscious; these psychic contents are often evoked in works of modern mass media in all its forms, not to mention religious rituals, art works, and advertising. A person who understands this mechanism well enough can make millions of dollars in the culture industry, or manipulate the consciousness, behavior, prejudice, and economic activity of millions of people. Beyond this, countless cultural forms proliferate, even by people who are not even consciously aware of what they are copying or the underlying psychological dynamics of the narratives and symbolism present in these mythic tropes.

The use of psychological manipulation based on this type of mechanism is so prevalent in fact that it is hard to imagine a world without total saturation by this hybrid of advertising/propaganda/mass-media. Most of the power to manipulate by these means derives from a basic ignorance among the masses of how conditioning works, and of the role of so-called 'religion' as a form of social conditioning and behavior modification. This is the main reason why I conceived this blog to begin with and continue to put effort into explaining how this works, giving specific examples. From my point of view, our world is stuck in a condition of mass slavery and tyranny that affects most of earths population because we are still functioning on a cultural/political operating system from 5000 years ago or more. The state of arrested development and unquestioning slavethink that is seen among the mass of humanity is also a result of the fact that our culture has not really evolved at its core for millennia. The same hero-worship and servitude that is the basis of today's blockbuster movies and comic books originates thousands of years ago in the mythology of  central Asia. As one example, I intend to look at the all-pervasive influence of the mythic symbolism of ancient Babylon on modern governments, religions, and secret societies. This symbolism involves the exact same horrific vices that are plaguing our world today. I see this as a simple cause and effect relationship. "Monkey see, Monkey do," as they say. So what are they showing all the monkeys over and over again? What is the desired outcome? In my eyes, it is simple persistence of a slave system based on hierarchy, and unquestioning adherence to the exact same caste system people criticize as primitive and barbaric in societies of the past.
This information is encoded into our minds on many levels, all the way from our alphabet, to words and terms, architecture, iconography, and even geometry and mathematics. The symbolism I am referring to is very carefully maintained by the ruling classes and often hidden beneath the surface level interpretations of the profane masses. It is a kind of inside joke or lingua franca that is seen all over the world and throughout vast swaths of time. But beyond the intent to manipulate is also a potential communication if you know the cypher. At that point there is an almost unfathomable amount that can be learned, which is why we are here. To begin with, let's look at one of the most obvious symbolic descendants of babylon: freemasonic qabbalah.
(gematria is a system of number correspondences used in biblical exegesis and mathematical cypers)

I. ■ The gematria and Geo-Metry of 44: The numbers game.

People will probably find it hard to believe how deep this goes and how consistent the symbolism is; most people would probably think the level of coincidence borders on the paranoid. Occult groups continually use number symbolism as a way to communicate to their fellow insiders. One really deep example relates to the symbolism of the number 44. For instance, the ruins of the tower of babel lies on 44 and 1/4 degrees east longitude. As i have noted in the past, the US invasion of Iraq occured after two square towers were destroyed (to eventually be replaced with an octagonal tower).
Many many conspiracy researchers out there have alluded to the very masonic aspects of the events of that day. It would be hard to get more masonic that twin pillars and the demolition of the 'solomon brothers' building right. . .well just wait.

(above is a map of Washington DC showing a square within a square)

(above is the scottish rite masonic headquarters in Washington DC showing its double square shape)

As any real masonic researcher knows, masonry is replete with geometry and number symbolism and this case is no exception. Lets look at the gematria of 44, shall we. one of the first things that pops up is the hebrew word: בבֿלי which has a numeric value of 44 and means "babylonian"
From Akkadian 𒆍𒀭𒊏𒆠 (Bābili [KA2.DINGIR.RAKI]); in Genesis associated with the idea of confusion.
Many authors (like Albert Pike for instance) have noted that freemasonry is really not much besides the Qabbalah, a world that also adds to 44 by english ordinal gematria 17+1+2+2+1+12+1+8=44
This is just one more indication that the words 'babylonian' in hebrew has the same numerical value as 'Qabbalah' in english. This isn't the only meaningful connection that can be found, but we'll get back to that later. For now, lets look at some geometry. In the realm of a 2d plane, four points define a square. In 3d, four points define a tetrahedron (the simplest regular polygon). so if we could find a figure combining squareness and a tetrahedron, that would give us a kind of coded 4-4 symbolism, right? now where could one find such a thing?

Another way of geometrically encoding a 4+4 would be an octagon, which incidentally is the form of the sumerian word that would become 'babylon' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Babylon
Middle Bronze Age form of the sign
Archibald Sayce, writing in the 1870s, considered Bab-ilu or Bab-ili to be the translation of an earlier Sumerian (formerly thought to be in the obsolete "Turanian" language-family) name Ca-dimirra, meaning "gate of god",[7][8] based on the characters KAN4 DIĜIR.RAKI (corresponding to the Sumerian phrase kan diĝirak "god's gate") or perhaps based on other characters.[9]
According to Professor Dietz-Otto Edzard, the city was originally called Babilla, but by the time of the Third Dynasty of Ur, through a process of etymological speculation, had become Bāb-ili(m) meaning "gate of god" or "god's gate"[10] (Bab-Il).
So, continuing with this gate them, let's look at the city of babylon:

in this model reconstruction we see the 'ishtar gate' in the distance or the 8th gate (4+4) of the city, leading to the sacred precinct of the temple prostitutes. note the 8 towers on each side leading up to the gate and the double square towers on either side of the gate.
"The Ishtar Gate (Arabic: بوابة عشتار‎) was the eighth gate to the inner city of Babylon.[citation needed] It was constructed in about 575 BCE by order of King Nebuchadnezzar II on the north side of the city. It was excavated in the early 20th century, and a reconstruction using original bricks, completed in 1930, is now shown in Berlin’s Pergamon Museum." "King Nebuchadnezzar II ordered the construction of the gate and dedicated it to the Babylonian goddess Ishtar. The gate was constructed using glazed brick with alternating rows of bas-relief mušḫuššu (dragons), aurochs (bulls), and lions, symbolizing the gods Marduk, Adad, and Ishtar respectively" https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ishtar_Gate

"Inanna[a] is an ancient Mesopotamian goddess associated with love, beauty, sex, desire, fertility, war, justice, and political power. She was originally worshipped in Sumer and was later worshipped by the Akkadians, Babylonians, and Assyrians under the name Ishtar.[b] She was known as the "Queen of Heaven" and was the patron goddess of the Eanna temple at the city of Uruk, which was her main cult center. She was associated with the planet Venus and her most prominent symbols included the lion and the eight-pointed star."
"Androgynous and hermaphroditic men were heavily involved in the cult of Inanna-Ishtar.[36] During Sumerian times, a set of priests known as gala worked in Inanna's temples, where they performed elegies and lamentations.[37] Gala took female names, spoke in the eme-sal dialect, which was traditionally reserved for women, and appear to have engaged in homosexual intercourse.[38] During the Akkadian Period, kurgarrū and assinnu were servants of Ishtar who dressed in female clothing and performed war dances in Ishtar's temples.[39] Several Akkadian proverbs seem to suggest that they may have also had homosexual proclivities.[39] Gwendolyn Leick, an anthropologist known for her writings on Mesopotamia, has compared these individuals to the contemporary Indian hijra.[40] In one Akkadian hymn, Ishtar is described as transforming men into women.[41]
According to the early scholar Samuel Noah Kramer, towards the end of the third millennium BC, kings of Uruk may have established their legitimacy by taking on the role of the shepherd Dumuzid, Inanna's consort.[42] This ritual lasted for one night on the tenth day of the Akitu,[42][43] the Sumerian new year festival,[43] which was celebrated annually at the spring equinox.[42] The king would then partake in a "sacred marriage" ceremony,[42] during which he engaged in ritual sexual intercourse with the high priestess of Inanna, who took on the role of the goddess.[42][43] https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inanna

In the above image, we see two versions of the eight pointed star of Inanna/Ishtar. As we shall see the eightfold geometry can represent both a gate to heaven, and a descent into the underworld. When the babylonian goddess descends into the underworld she carries 8 (4+4) ornaments."In Sumerian religion, the Kur was conceived of as a dark, dreary cavern located deep underground;[164] life there was envisioned as "a shadowy version of life on earth".[164] It was ruled by Inanna's sister, the goddess Ereshkigal.[92][164] Before leaving, Inanna instructs her minister and servant Ninshubur to plead with the deities Enlil, Nanna, Anu, and Enki to rescue her if she does not return after three days.[165][166] The laws of the underworld dictate that, with the exception of appointed messengers, those who enter it may never leave.[165] Inanna dresses elaborately for the visit; she wears a turban, wig, lapis lazuli necklace, beads upon her breast, the 'pala dress' (the ladyship garment), mascara, a pectoral, and golden ring, and holds a lapis lazuli measuring rod.[167][168] Each garment is a representation of a powerful me she possesses.[169]"
(here we see two versions of the 8-pointed star and a film still from Wonder Woman featuring same.

even scientology uses the 8 pointed star

So, to get back to my contention that Christianity, Judaism, and Islam are all thinly veiled babylonian cults, I'll just point out that both jesus and mohammed ascend to heaven through an octagon. and of course the gematria of iessous xpistos in greek is 888

(above, window from rosslyn chapel showing christ inside a pair of quadrilaterals)
(below, jesus ascends to heaven through an octogon)
" In the accounts of the Isra’, Muhammad is said to have traveled on the back of a winged mule-like white beast, called Buraq, to "the farthest mosque". By tradition this mosque, which came to represent the physical world, was identified as the Al-Aqsa Mosque in Jerusalem." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Isra_and_Mi%27raj

(an image of the octagonal al aqsa mosque)

"The Chapel of the Ascension (Hebrew: קפלת העלייהKapelat ha-Aliyya, Greek: Εκκλησάκι της Αναλήψεως, Ekklisáki tis Analípseos) is a shrine located on the Mount of Olives, in the At-Tur district of Jerusalem. Part of a larger complex consisting first of a Christian church and monastery, then an Islamic mosque, it is located on a site the faithful traditionally believe to be the earthly spot where Jesus ascended into Heaven after his resurrection."
(image of the chapel of ascension from above shows octagonal symmetry)
(another image of the chapel and adjacent octagonal tower on the left).

so, at this point I am confident we are seeing a thoroughly consistent semantic association between octagons and gateways between heaven, earth, and the underworld. There is much more to it than that, of course. For instance, in terms of hebrew gematria there are other meaningful correspondences that relate to babylonian mythology which are encoded in the bible.  The first occurence of any word totaling to 44 occurs in genesis 3:24: "להט" which means "flaming" and refers to the sword that bars the way to the entrance to Eden, which is bounded by two of the same 4 rivers that surround babylon (the Tigris and Euphrates). In effect, the flaming sword in question directly corresponds to a 'gate of god' or 'babilli'. Another notable correspondence occurs in 2 Kings 24:14 -- "גולה" signifying "captivity" or "exile", and specifically referring to the locality of babylon, which incidentally occurs in the 8th (4+4) year of the reign of Jehoiachin.
It is worth noting that by extending a 4 sided 2d shape (like a square) into 3 dimensions, you get a figure with 8 vertices (like a cube) defined by 3 pairs of 4-sided faces. Although babylon may be one of the oldest known civilizations that can be studied by archeologists due to its rich legacy of art, architectural ruins and literature, it is not the only one to emphasize squareness as we saw with the images of the ishtar gate above. As i mentioned in an earlier post, Occult Theocracy pt 1: the link between religion and psychological warfare in the cult of Cybele
Babylon and Rome both inherited the cubic stone iconography from a much earlier cult in Asia Minor, and this is something that spread around the world, and persists today, quite notably modern freemasonry.
Here is one such example from the ancient world: The Delian Problem
"The problem owes its name to a story concerning the citizens of Delos, who consulted the oracle at Delphi in order to learn how to defeat a plague sent by Apollo.[5] According to Plutarch[6] it was the citizens of Delos who consulted the oracle at Delphi, seeking a solution for their internal political problems at the time, which had intensified relationships among the citizens. The oracle responded that they must double the size of the altar to Apollo, which was a regular cube. The answer seemed strange to the Delians and they consulted Plato, who was able to interpret the oracle as the mathematical problem of doubling the volume of a given cube, thus explaining the oracle as the advice of Apollo for the citizens of Delos to occupy themselves with the study of geometry and mathematics in order to calm down their passions.[7]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doubling_the_cube
Notice in the image above that the doubled cube has two layers of 4 cubes (4+4) In fact, 8 is the smallest cubic integer.

This particular geometry is quite significant to Solomon's temple, and to both modern freemasons and other magical orders that arose from masonic ideas.

"The hekhal or Holy Place at the eastern end was a double cube 20 cubits long, 10 cubits wide and 10 cubits high. The debir or Holy of Holies at the western end was a perfect cube of 10 cubits sides."
"In ancient times stone altars commonly were cubical in the shape and a cubical stone often represented heathen deities. The Greek geographer and historian Pausanias of Magnesia, who was probably born in Lydia, is regarded as one of the founders of archaeology and the most important antiquarian of Roman times. In about 170 CE he wrote Periegesis, usually called the Itinerary of Greece, which provides invaluable information on the people of Greece and their beliefs, customs and history, compiled during his extensive travels and investigations. Pausanias records that the cube was the symbol of Mercury because he represented truth. He also says that Apollo, the god of music, poetry, archery, prophecy and the healing art, was often worshipped under the symbol of a square stone. Pausanius also recorded that when the great plague raged in the Roman Empire from 164 to 180, with fatal results at Delphi, the oracle at Delphi ordered that the cubical stone erected as an altar to Apollo should be doubled and that when it was doubled in height to form a double cube the pestilence ceased. It is interesting to note that the black stone built into the Kaaba, the holy building at Mecca, also is in the form of a double cube and all Muslims revere it. The prophet Muhammad declared that the black stone was given to Abraham by the archangel Gabriel and it is reputed to be possessed of many virtues.
The Israelitish patriarchs built many altars, including Noah after the flood; Abraham at Shechem, Bethel, Hebron and Moriah; Isaac at Beersheba; Jacob at Shechem and Bethel; and Moses at Rephidim after the Amalakites were defeated. There is no information about their construction, but it is believed that they were in the form of a double cube, similar to the Altar of Incense which the Lord commanded Moses to make, as recorded in Exodus 30:1-3 and later prescribed in the Mosaic law:"Make an altar on which to burn incense; make it of acacia wood. It shall be square, a cubit long by a cubit broad and two cubits high . . . Overlay it with pure gold, the top, the sides all round . . ."
The Altar of Incense used in the tabernacle and also in King Solomon’s temple at Jerusalem was the form of a double cube. Many altars that have been discovered in Palestine, predating the occupation of the Israelites, also are in the form of a double cube. One of the oldest and best preserved is an altar of incense that dates from the fourteenth century BCE, from the Canaanite town of Hazor. It was constructed of basalt and features an emblem of the sun god, a wheel with four spokes and a central boss, all carved in relief. Another limestone altar of incense from Megiddo, that dates from the tenth century BCE, is embellished with an decorative horizontal band at mid height and four ornamental horns at the top corners.

(below is an artistic rendering of a masonic alter highliting the double cube geometry)

(above is a double cubical enochian alter of the type used by ceremonial magicians)
(above is the Qabbalistic tree of life represented as two cubes)
Ok, so by now i think i have established that there is something here in terms of symbolism that is consistent throughout several cultures, to such an extent that it is present in forms that are clearly a major focus of culture, ritual, architecture and myth. But what does it really mean exactly? Let's keep going, because this next bit will tie a lot of things together.
Using biblical gematria once again we find something very significant. The second appearance of a word that adds to 44 occurs in Genesis chapter 4. ילד (yalad) is defined thus in strongs hebrew dictionary " yalad {yaw-lad'} a primitive root; TWOT - 867; v AV - beget 201, bare 110, born 79, bring forth 25, bear 23, travail 16, midwife 10, child 8, delivered 5, borne 3, birth 2, labour 2, brought up 2, misc 12; 498 1) to bear, bring forth, beget, gender, travail 1a) (Qal) 1a1) to bear, bring forth 1a1a) of child birth 1a1b) of distress (simile) 1a1c) of wicked (behaviour) 1a2) to beget 1b) (Niphal) to be born 1c) (Piel) 1c1) to cause or help to bring forth 1c2) to assist or tend as a midwife 1c3) midwife (participle) 1d) (Pual) to be born 1e) (Hiphil) 1e1) to beget (a child) 1e2) to bear (fig. - of wicked bringing forth iniquity) 1f) (Hophal) day of birth, birthday (infinitive) 1g) (Hithpael) to declare one's birth (pedigree)"
further one may also obtain a sum of 44 by adding
Father + Mother
pic
Av + Am
and obtaining
Birth/Child
pic
Yeled
physically this pedigree is referred to as royal 'blood', which in hebrew is דם (dam) which also has a sum of 44 or 404 depending whether or not final form of mem is used.
It is also worth noting that not counting sex chromosomes (x or y) humans have 22 pairs of chromosomes, totalling 44

So the connection here is that in the religion of babylon, as in egypt, kingship is conferred by approval of a female. In the case of Isis in egypt, her symbol is the throne, because she confers sovereignty, just as being chosen as the concubine of Ishtar/Inanna is equivalent to kingship in babylon. Notice the iconography here:
where Isis is seen with a crown shaped headdress. In fact the hieroglyphic for "Isis" also includes a depiction of a throne.
Look closely at the throne osiris sits on.
See the smaller quadrilateral inside a larger one? 4+4 again. The symbolism is that one small thing gives birth to a similar larger thing. sometimes this is referred to as a 'gnomon' in geometry and is a common device in design. "Geometry . (formerly) the part of a parallelogram that remains after a similar parallelogram has been taken away from one of its corners." 4-4. . . At what point does this stop being some kind of random coincidence and become acknowledged as purposeful? Many extremely powerful people and groups are well aware of this symbolism and use it quite consciously, as i will further illustrate later, but let's move on to a new theme.

II. ■ □ Twinnning: Pillars of Hermes/Thoth
Now to really start tying things together, we have to start looking beyond the more subtle symbolism and imagery and start analyzing the drama and narratives of babylonian myths and showing parallels with other cultures. One consistent theme is the idea of a doppelganger, or a kind of mirrored pairing. Often this relates to either a struggle between seeming opposites, or in some cases a kind of 'decoy' concept where one 'evil' twin tries to usurp the powers and privileges of another, effectively replacing them or simply occupying their position like capturing pieces on a chess board.
A common theme in the study of myth and religion is having one culture try to appropriate the mythic themes and achievements of a previous culture; the bible is replete with such examples. In my opinion, every significant mythic biblical narrative has a predecessor in older civilizations which is plagiarized, often with an insulting tone toward the culture being plagiarized. So where and when did this all begin? It is probably impossible to know, but let's start with this:
“according to legend, Thoth preserved his canon of writings inside two great pillars “just before the Great Flood inundated the world.” Thousands of years later, the pillars were rediscovered. According to existing texts written by Egyptian priests, one of the pillars was discovered outside the city of Heliopolis (city of the Sun), and the other was unearthed near Thebes.”
The massive columns were covered with sacred hieroglyphics. When first discovered, they were referred to as “The Pillars of the Gods of the Dawning Light.” The pillars were eventually moved to a secret temple dedicated to the First Gods. Some texts indicate that this location was the Temple of Amun in Siwa, which is the oldest temple in Egypt. Only priests and pharoahs were allowed to view the sacred objects and scrolls.
Some evidence suggests the pillars really existed. Not only were they described in scrolls dating back to 1550 BCE, but they were also periodically put on public display and have been mentioned by credible sources throughout history. Solon, the Greek legislator and writer, studied them firsthand and noted that they memorialised the destruction of an ancient advanced civilisation. The great historian Herodotus encountered the two pillars in a secret Egyptian temple he visited in 400 BCE. “One pillar was of pure gold,” said Herodotus, “and the other was as of emerald, which glowed at night with great brilliancy.” He named them the Pillars of Hermes.”
https://theartoftransformations.wordpress.com/tag/pillars-of-hermes/

Regarding the "Pillars of Hermes" of "Seth" and of "Solomon"
"In the 9th chapter of the [Egyptian] Ritual of the Dead they are referred to as the 'Pillars of Shu', the 'Pillars of the Gods of the Dawning Light', and also as 'the North and Southern Columns of the Gate of the Hall of Truth'. In the 125th chapter, they are represented by the sacred gateway, the door to which the aspirant is brought when he has completed the negative confession. The archaic pictures on the one Pillar are painted in black upon a white ground, and those on the other in white upon a black ground, in order to express the interchange and reconciliation of opposing forces and the eternal balance of light and darkness which give force to visible nature....The archaic illustrations are taken from vignettes of the 17th and 125th chapter of the Ritual of the Dead, the Egyptian Book of the 'Per-em-Hru' or the 'Book of Coming Forth into the Day', the oldest book in the world as yet discovered."
"...The general design of the White Pillar is a pictorial synthesis of the gradual freeing of the soul from the body, left to be mummied and its union with Osiris, Lord and Judge of the Dead and of the resurrection, the sun in his rising....The Black Pillar symbolizes the pathway of darkness, the Negative Confession, as the White Pillar represents the Hymn to the Rising Sun, the Pathway of Light, and the Positive Confession."
     - G. H. Frater, "The Core of the Tradition"
The Complete Golden Dawn System of Magic
In mythology these pillars are often represented metaphorically as two men. Probably the earliest remaining evidence of such a pair comes from. . .Babylon. Above we see representations of Gilgamesh and Enkidu battling a hybrid of 4 beasts called Huwawa or Humbaba https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Humbaba

As an embodiment of these two pillars Gilgamesh and Enkidu are a mirrored pair, who start as enemies but join forces, in many cases they battle against Ishtar/Inanna directly. As the story goes, Gilgamesh is a powerful god/human hybrid, the king of Uruk, sacred city of Inanna. He is causing havoc and copulating with all the brides of the city. The gods take pity and answer the prayers of their terrorized worshipers by creating an adversary for him in an attempt to adress the problem.
"This is the primitive man, Enkidu, who is covered in hair and lives in the wild with the animals. He is spotted by a trapper, whose livelihood is being ruined because Enkidu is uprooting his traps. The trapper tells the sun-god Shamash about the man, and it is arranged for Enkidu to be seduced by Shamhat, a temple prostitute, his first step towards being tamed. After six days and seven nights (or two weeks, according to more recent scholarship[17]) of lovemaking and teaching Enkidu about the ways of civilization, she takes Enkidu to a shepherd's camp to learn how to be civilized." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Epic_of_Gilgamesh
Apparently becoming civilized involves extended 'relations' with prostitutes, and being introduced to beer and  grain. These two items often particulary identified as the foodstuffs of the slave classes in Egypt and Babylon, because, as the bible says in Leviticus 3:16 "all the fat is the lord's". Can't have the slaves eating the lord's precious fat, now can we? It might make their brains grow.
Anyhow, Enkidu hears about Gilgamesh's antics and goes to town to intervene by blocking Gilgamesh as he attempts to enter the bedchamber of a bride (recapitulating the gateway motif).
After fighting to a standstil they become friendly and go on some badass adventures. Of particular note among these is 1.) fighting off gnarly beasts sent after them by inanna/ishtar 2.) going to the underworld. 3.) finding the food of immortality 4.) encountering the immortal survivor of the great deluge who has memory of the prior civilization (linking back to the flood imagery and pillars of hermes). It is significant to note that Gilgamesh survives while Enkidu dies.

Many of the themes related to gilgamesh and enkidu are recapitulated in the story of Marduk
(Marduk battling Tiamat (4fold hybrid)  with a lightning bolt and the 4 winds)
lightning is also present in the tarot version of the tower of babel, 'maison dieu', or 'la foudre/ligtning' as it is variously referred to

items of note:
1. Marduk was the king of babylon and slept on top of the ziggurat tower of babel.
2. Marduk was associated with the planet of Jupiter whose symbol looks like a 4 and whose magic  square is 4x4 grid
Next in line is the Story of Osiris and Set which transistions into the rivalry between Horus and Set.
Again we have a dark and light dynamic between the god of sunlight and city life on one hand, and the ruler of knight and desert wilderness on the other. Early on in the story Set traps, murders, and dissects his own twin brother, in a case of usurpation and attempted replacement. Again we see an underworld journey where Osiris ends up ruling the land of the dead. So far i have not put much emphasis on the sexual aspect that runs through this entire story, but here it is an essential element.
"A further famous story about same-sex intercourse can be found in the Kahun Papyri, dating back to the Middle Kingdom. It contains the nearly completely preserved story of the Osiris myth and the legendary fight for the throne of Egypt between Horus and Seth. The chapter in question reports that Seth was unutterably jealous about his young nephew Horus, because Horus was very young and popular. He was quite pampered by the other gods. Seth instead had very few companions and he was comparatively unpopular because of his choleric and vindictive behaviour. As a result, Seth tried to either chase away or even kill Horus, no matter what the cost. When Seth constantly fails, he plans to humiliate his rival so badly that Horus would be banned from Egypt forever. Seth invites Horus to a party and convinces the teenage Horus to drink more than Horus could normally cope with. When Horus is drunk, Seth seduces him to sleep over the night in one bed together. When lying together in one bed, Seth grabs Horus and rapes him. But Horus has tricked Seth; his drunkenness was staged. He catches Seth's semen with his hands and hides it. The next morning, Horus runs to his Mother, Isis, to tell her what happened. Isis is at first speechless with rage and disbelief, then she tells Horus to masturbate and use his semen to lubricate Seth's favorite food (Egyptian lettuce). Oblivious, Seth eats the manipulated lettuce, then he goes to the divine court to inform on Horus. At first, the divine judges swear at Horus, but when Thoth, the scribe of the court, calls for Seth's semen to emerge from the body of Horus, instead the semen of Horus emerges from the body of Seth. Seth blushes in embarrassment and shock, then flees. Horus is acquitted.[1][3]
 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homosexuality_in_ancient_Egypt
So the relevant themes here are:
1. twin brothers
2. darkness and light
3. cities vs wilderness
4. sex magic
With that we can move on.

Moving forward in time, several of our themes recur in the story of Jacob and Esau. The two were twin brothers, but Esau was hairy and spent his time with the animals while Jacob was like a mama's boy and just hung around in the tent. As in the case of Gilgamesh and Enkidu the dynamic between wildness and 'civilization' is present. Also as the female prostitute 'civilizes' Enkidu and encorages him down the path of battling gilgamesh, Jacob's mother encourages and helps him to decieve his father and usurp his twin brother. Even the name 'Jacob' is coined by his mother in reference to his intent, even in infancy, to usurp his twin. In the end the mama's boy gets all the inheritance while Esau the hunter is relegated to the wilderness and relative obscurity.
Once he usurps his twin, Jacob proceeds to have a vision of a ladder to heaven (like a ziggurat or 'babilli' gate to heaven). He then 'erects' a pillar in commemoration and anoints it with "shemen" which means both 'seed' and 'oil'. . .hmm

This event is seminal (if not semen-al) within masonic symbolism. And i have long contended that the two masonic pillars are actually analogs of something called a "jacob's ladder" which is an electrostatic device based on two electrically polarized columns.
Before concluding this section on ancient references, it is worth noting that the greeks have their own analog of this story in the myth of Castor and Pollux, memorialized in the Constellation of Gemini.

As in the case with Gilgamesh and Enkidu, one of the twins gains the source of immortality, while the other goes to the underworld. Very interestingly, the constellation gemini contains a star called wasat, at the naval area of one twin, which hearkens back to the pillars of hermes in egypt again:
"In the ancient city of Annu (later called On in the Bible and Heliopolis by the Greeks) there was a great sacred pillar, itself named Annu - possibly before the city. This, we believe, was the great pillar of Lower Egypt and its counterpart in Upper Egypt at the time of unification was in the city of Nekheb. Later the city of Thebes, known then as 'Waset', had the title 'Iwnu Shema', which meant 'the Southern Pillar'."
After looking at these ancient examples, let's look at some relatively modern continuations.

III: Relatively modern iterations of Babylon themes
So as we saw in the beginning the double square or octagon gate leads to heaven,  establishes kingship, and reconciles or unifies opposites.

Here is an interesting one from the Middle ages.
In 800 AD Charlemagne is crowned Holy Roman Emperor in what is called Old St. Peter's Basilica, a double cubic floor plan with two octagonal adjacent buildings
Rome became head of the babylonian world religion after jerusalem fell, thus must demonstrate our 44 number game also, right?
"Vatican City (/ˈvætɪkən/ (About this soundlisten)), officially Vatican City State (Italian: Stato della Città del Vaticano;[d] Latin: Status Civitatis Vaticanae),[e][f] is an independent city-state[9] enclaved within Rome, Italy. Established with the Lateran Treaty (1929), it is distinct from yet under "full ownership, exclusive dominion, and sovereign authority and jurisdiction" of the Holy See (Latin: Sancta Sedes).[g][10] With an area of 44 hectares (110 acres), and a population of about 1,000,[3] it is the smallest state in the world by both area and population.[11]"
and as you can see below, vatican city's most notable feature 'st. peter's square' actually festures an octagonal star around an obelisk.

So Charlemagne was first crowned emperor here, but he also has another palace in Aachen, which features the octagonal dome, plus double cube imagery beneath the throne.

Jesus always goes up through the octagon, see?
so in 800 Charlemagne becomes emperor in an octagon and usurps his predecessor, being referred to by medieval scholars as the 'new Constantine'. Then he gets buried under an octagonal cathedral he built.
Let's jump way forward in time to 1944 when Aleister Crowley publishes his book on Tarot
here are some interesting images from the deck

on one hand we have an emperor/king, and in the other a symbolic descent into the eunderworld.
traditionally card 8 is Strength in which is depicted a woman taming a lion. Crowley changes the number of the card, but of note here is the fact that he describes it as depicting the whore of babylon riding the great beast
It is worth noting that he numbers this card 11 (as in two pillars), as he was well know for engaging in sodomy (as we saw with the horus/set narrative above). and openly referred to the 11 as depicting two erect penises.
I will not go into details about this but it is well documented that his 11th degree O.T.O. rituals involved ritual sodomy. If you don't believe it, read more here: https://www.parareligion.ch/sunrise/xi.htm
Even more disgusting is what Crowley refers to in what he calls Liber 44 or 'mass of the phoenix'. (חול is hebrew for 'phoenix' and totals 44 in gematria). Again, I won't go into detail, but it involves sex magic, blood letting, and possibly human sacrifice. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mass_of_the_Phoenix

A phoenix also apears on the emperor card of crowleys deck as seen above. . .or rather a pair of twins. this refers to the nature of the emperors power, arising out of usurpation, and in the end being usurped in turn, just as a youthful phoenix is born from the ashes of a dying one. above his head is a young ram representing aries, which in hebrew is טלה with a numeric value of 44 .

Crowley himself was outer head of the Order of Eastern Templars. Since the supression of templars several centuries ago there has been detailed documentation of the homosexual tendencies and sex rituals of the templars, and their successors the freemasons. I have mentioned this before in previous posts. Those who find this unbelievable can read more here: History of psywar pt 6: Disney pedophiles, nazi occultists, and the DOD.
Something i haven't written about yet which is related to these topics deals with Crowley's most infamous student, Jack Parsons, and something called the "BABALON working" which was an attempt to use sex magic to give birth to a new era of humanity and a child that would throw off the religion and morality of its parents and establish the Aeon of the 'crowned and conquering child'.
This idea gave birth to the American branch of the OTO in hollywood, where it is much more influential than most would care to admit.

(above are images of sumerian iconography at the kodak theater in hollywood)

One very interesting addition would be the metion of babylonian themes in one of the most successful moder science fiction novels: Snowcrash by neal stephenson
"The book presents the Sumerian language as the firmware programming language for the brainstem, which is supposedly functioning as the BIOS for the human brain. According to characters in the book, the goddess Asherah is the personification of a linguistic virus, similar to a computer virus. The god Enki created a counter-program which he called a nam-shub that caused all of humanity to speak different languages as a protection against Asherah (a re-interpretation of the ancient Near Eastern story of the Tower of Babel).
Snow Crash was nominated for both the British Science Fiction Award in 1993,[2] and the Arthur C. Clarke Award in 1994"
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Snow_Crash
Also worth mentioning is the fact that this book features a virtual reality based on a cubic grid system of 256 units (two to the power of 4+4).

Another connection in the world of modern pop culture is with the TV show Lost , which has a prominent character named "Jacob" who is in a seemingly eternal struggle with his nemesis 'the man in black', and it seems they are constantly attempting to manipulate events by moving 'sideways' in time and using the characters of the show like pawns, and the whole time none of the characters seem to know that they are deceased and wandering in the underworld through the entire series. The game they play is called senet.

"Senet is a game from predynastic and ancient Egypt. The oldest hieroglyph representing a Senet game dates to circa 3100 BC. The full name of the game in Egyptian means "game of passing." By the time of the New Kingdom in Egypt (1567–1085 BC), it had become a kind of talisman for the journey of the dead. Because of the element of luck in the game and the Egyptian belief in determinism, it was believed that a successful player was under the protection of the major gods"

The main narrative of the show (which is not presented in linear time) begins when Jacob attempts to murder his brother and ends up just turning him into a cloud of black smoke. So again we see Jacob trying to usurp his brother and exert a dominating influence on the island of the lost.

In fact. Jacob watches most of the characters throughout their lives from a lighthouse tower

Inside the tower there is a complex mechanism of mirrors and lenses that allow him to observe his potential replacements as keepers of the island. He watches their lives and intervenes at critical junctures to steer them in a desired direction.

In summary, we have a man named jacob, who lives in a pillar between earth and heaven, who usurps his darker brother, tries to best him in a game of fate called 'passing'. there is also a giant statue in the show of the egyptian goddess of childbirth, which is eventually smashed by a ship called 'black rock. '  this whole series is replete with occult symbolism, much of which involves usurpation of free will and issues surrounding childbirth. In my opinion this show is about exactly what i am trying to get across in this post

The final modern example I would like to give is another type of "gate of god" or scientific "babilli": CERN.
As you can see, the design of cern's magnetic/electric tunnel is octagonal. Many have speculated that CERN is opening portals or gate's in the sky. I'm not necessarily endorsing this opinion, but i believe that it is interesting if only in a symbolic way. Here is an article with photos and videos on the topic. Eerie Photo Fuels Internet Theory That CERN is Opening 'Portals of Hell'
And of course there is much more material out there if one is so inclined. Now to conclude. . .
IIII: What the hell does this all mean?!
Well I'll sum it up as simply as possible
1. Since ancient times the mythic symbols we've looked at here have been used in a fairly consistent way, spanning many cultures and times. The stories and symbols keep getting recycled and often the older origins are erased or marginalized.
2. This symbolism is employed in a cultural context to reinforce a caste system of gods/kings/slaves/animals
3. Babylon itself is a metaphor for history's first "multicultural" society where all the tribes of a massive empire come together and speak a single planetary language to engage in a technological undertaking in an attempt to usurp the power of the gods, and despite being a tragic myth of inevitable scattering and destruction of said empire is used as the model of modern things like the EU and 'new world order' as a model of global monoculture and empire.
4.  As in the cult of ishtar/inanna in babylon, the natural creative reproduction of human kind is being systematically redirected into non-procreative activities like homosexuality, transgenderism, pornography and sex dolls as a cultural program to control and limit population. While, at the same time a biological humanity (like Enkidu and Esau) is being usurped by robots and biotechnology hybridization with 'civilized' features like microchip implants, increasingly technological body mods (including tatooed michrochips, etc.)

Just asking you to think about it and see if you can spot these symbols and agendas in your own life.
More to come.
